Noel Jabbour, MD, MS, FACS

Dr. Jabbour is board certified in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology and in Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery. In addition to his medical and surgical training, he holds a master’s degree in Medical Education. He is passionate about innovation to improve the process for training surgeons outside of the operating room setting and holds multiple patents for novel surgical simulators.

Dr. Jabbour’s clinical interests include microtia and aural atresia, cleft palate and submucous cleft palate repair, velopharyngeal dysfunction (hypernasality), conductive hearing loss, and comprehensive pediatric otolaryngology care for cleft and non-cleft patients. He has published over 70 scientific articles in the medical literature and numerous book chapters.

He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery, the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, the International Society for Auricular Reconstruction, the American Cleft Palate Association, and the Society for University Otolaryngologists. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has served on the Residency Review Committee for the ACGME and on the Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology Item Writing Task Force to develop the first board exam in this field.

Research Interests

Dr. Jabbour's research interests include improving surgical options for microtia and aural atresia, novel surgical simulator development, 3D printing for patient-specific case preparation, and use of augmented reality and virtual reality in surgical education.
