Research Interests

In recent years, Dr. Xia's research research has focused on cochlear immunity mechanisms underlying pathogen- and non-pathogen-induced sensorineural hearing loss. She has led a team of researchers studying cochlear immune responses to sensorineural hearing loss caused by chronic suppurative otitis media, noise-induced hearing loss, and autoimmune or immune-mediated inner ear diseases.
