Dr. Vincent Yuan specializes in immunology and oncology, focusing on uncovering novel mechanisms underlying infectious and autoimmune diseases that lead to ear inflammation and hearing loss. His work also includes developing small-molecule drugs targeting specific signaling pathways.

Education & Training
Dr. Yuan's research focuses on understanding and treating chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) and Meniere's disease (MD) from an immunological perspective, examining both innate and adaptive immune responses. His work investigates how immune cells, such as macrophages and dendritic cells, contribute to inflammation while influencing T-cell differentiation. He also explores the destructive signaling pathways activated by these immune cells, particularly focusing on the NLRP family's role in regulating inflammation. Dr. Yuan’s goal is to uncover key mechanisms driving unresolved inflammation and identify therapeutic targets for treating CSOM and MD.
